Nothing can replace training and skill in dentistry, but today’s advanced technology can help your dentist put that training and skill to its best use. By using the latest and most advanced technology, Miami cosmetic dentists Dr. Raul Garcia and Dr. Conchi Sanchez-Garcia are able to provide you with the highest quality results in the safest, most effective manner.

DIAGNOdent (Cavity Detection)

DIAGNOdent is a laser-assisted cavity detection device. It is a very advanced diagnostic tool that can detect decay in its earliest stages, when the cavity is not large enough to detect with traditional diagnostic techniques such as probing with a pick or X-rays alone.

DIAGNOdent detects decay in areas of the tooth that are more difficult to see on X-rays and is meant to be used in combination with your X-rays for a more thorough and accurate diagnosis. Scanning with DIAGNOdent is fast, safe, painless, and provides the highest level of prevention available.

Digital X-Rays

If you are accustomed to the old X-rays that require the use of uncomfortable cards in your mouth, you will find digital X-rays to be a great relief. Comfort is just one of many advantages they provide. A digital X-ray gives us a more detailed and accurate image. It also exposes you to the least amount of radiation possible, making it the safest way to have an X-ray taken.

Soft Tissue Laser

We use the Navigator soft tissue laser for gum recontouring and when treating gum disease. This is a non-surgical method to resolve your periodontal issues. The soft tissue laser kills bacteria and seals the wound as it works. It is minimally invasive without sacrificing efficacy.

TENS Unit and K7

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) is used in neuromuscular dentistry. It uses electrical impulses to stimulate and relax your muscles, acting like a massage. We use it in temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) diagnosis and treatment.

The K7 evaluation system is another tool we use in neuromuscular dentistry. We use the data from the K7 to diagnose TMD and to create your oral devices. The K7:

  • Tracks and records your jaw movements
  • Records the electrical activity in your jaw muscles
  • Records your jaw joint sounds
